Thinking about climate change is more than repairing damage or solving problems. It is also about imagining how a great environment can be developed in a holistic way. This “imagining process” can yield new thoughts about who we are, who we want to be, what qualities we want to keep, which to create, what identities are permanent and which can be improved, and what solutions do we need to solve the problems?
Deltas Rotterdam was the beginning of several workshops which will interrogate these ideas in South-East Queensland. Held at the Deltas in Times of Climate Change II Conference in Rotterdam, September 2015- the initial workshop presented maps, datas and visual stimulus for contribution from participants, who came from a variety of professional and regional backgrounds.
The workshop formed the genesis of Waterfutures, an international network of professionals committed to creating value through holistic design in addressing water issues. A full prospectus of the project is available HERE.
